Bulletin Announcements

Holy Communion will be offered to our communicant members and visiting members of WELS and ELS congregations who have spoken to the pastor before worship or made out a visiting Communion card this morning. Please approach the altar at the direction of the elder.
Lost and Found Kitchen Items: On the table in the church entry are numerous items found in the church kitchen with no identifying marks. Please take home those that belong to you. Unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill.

Choir Change Day and Time: Please note that Choir will be held on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 PM - immediately after our Lenten worship.

Wednesday Evening Potluck Soup Suppers: You are invited to join us for the potluck soup suppers at 6:00 pm prior to each Lenten Service. Please bring a dish to pass – such as a pot of soup, finger foods, breads, fruit, cheese, dessert, etc. If your family doesn’t care for soup, feel free to bring an alternative potluck dish. We have had spaghetti, pizza, goulash, sloppy joes, etc. Hope to see you there.
Church Picnic: Good Shepherd’s Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 6th in Shelter A (by the fun Zone) at Plymouth Park (off Wheeler Rd). Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out on this fun filled afternoon. There will be games for the kids and a pick up softball game for all.
Easter Baskets: A freewill offering will be collected the next two Sundays (March 14th and March 21st) for Easter baskets. The baskets will be delivered by the elders to some members of our congregation who could use a little extra help at this time of the year. There will also be a box in the entryway labeled “Holiday Food donations” for collecting staple food items.
Today’s Christian Women’s Retreat: The Retreat will be April 9-11, 2010, at the Lexington Lansing Hotel. This year’s theme is “I am the vine, you are the branches. John 15:5” Retreat brochures are available on the table in the church entry or see the retreat’s web site www.tcwr.org. Late registration (not guaranteed - only if room) - $160 on or after February 27th.
Special Voters’ Meeting: There will be a special Voters’ meeting following the late service on Sunday, March 7th to call a principal for our Lutheran Elementary School.
Play at Michigan Lutheran Seminary: MLS will present “GOOD NEWS” on Saturday, March 27 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the school’s chapel/auditorium. Tickets will be available at the MLS Business Office (989-7793-1041, Ext. 264) beginning Monday, March 1st, or at the door prior to each performance.
